“My name is Valentina Andreea Dragan, I am a year and two months old. For the past year, my mother has been hospitalized with me in Fundeni Hospital, Pediatric Clinic, Department of Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation, 6th floor, room 603, because she learned that I have a cruel disease, namely Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (also known as Familial or relapsing HLH). Ph.D. Anca Coliță told my mommy that the disease is cured only by hematopoietic cell transplantation (stem cells) and if this transplant does not take place as soon as possible, I will go, so little as I am, to God.”
“Currently, a clinic in Madrid is sending me for free a medicine that costs 10.000 EUR / month, the medicine that keeps me alive and holds the disease stationary. Unfortunately, the gentlemen at the clinic told my mommy that sponsorship will not last too much longer, an that it will stop after a few more months. Also, my mother found out that stem cell transplantation cannot be performed here in Romania because I don’t have a related donor and so she filed for approvement for the treatment abroad. After she got in touch with several clinics in addition to the one in Madrid, she was told informally that this transplant will cost somewhere between 150,000 and 170,000€.”
“As my parents don’t have by far such financial income and I am still too little and sick to work, I am asking you with all my heart to help me with whatever you can, so that I can grow big and healthy and enjoy life together with my family.”

Hello everyone, first of all I ask forgiveness as I have not written recently, but I was busy recovering after the successful transplant ! God performed a miracle and helped me to have a successful operation. I want to thank you again from the bottom of my heart, because without your help I could not hope to regain my life. Unfortunately, I have to stay there for one year after the transplant and perform my monthly blood checks. My mother managed to keep me in the first two months with the help of relatives and selling everything she could from the house, but now she ran out of money and asked me to call your kind and generous souls one last time . Blood checks, housing and medications cost us 1200 euros (about 1650 US $) a month for 10 months. We must raise 12,000 EUR (16500 USD roughly) to get over this last hop. Please, once again, hopefully for the last time: help us.
